Textile and Costume Breakdown Artist

I have worked in the film industry for 30 years primarily as head of the Breakdown Department.

I work closely with the Costume Designer and design team to help create their vision and give character to the costumes.

I manage the workshop and direct a multi-disciplinary team of textile artists. We are key from the first stages of design to the final costumes you see on screen - creating colour pallets, designing prints, dying fabrics and trims to the final touches of painting, ageing and enhancement of the costume to help create realistic characters and bring costumes to life.

As well as working on location and at the major studios, I work from The Textile Workshop in Hastings providing Dye, Print & Breakdown facilities for the film, television and theatre industries.
